The founder of the Oregon Center for Public Policy will be the guest speaker for the Hermiston Chamber of Commerce’s Business to Business Luncheon on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015 at 11:45 a.m. at the Hermiston Conference Center.

Chuck Sheketoff has been actively involved in lobbying for changes to Oregon’s tax system, and in 1997 he took the lead to help create two new tax credits for the working poor: the state earned income tax credit and the working family child care tax credit. The Oregon Center for Public Policy does in-depth research and analysis on budget, tax, and economic issues, their goal is to improve decision making and generate more opportunities for all Oregonians.

Sheketoff will share how the OCPP works with businesses across the state, how they help set policy that helps working class people and what their legislative priorities are.
