“All girls in the community are invited to attend with their fathers or someone who has filled that role for them in their lives,” said Michelle Kane, a member of the Me and My Prince Ball’s committee. “We have had dads come in with their littles who can barely walk on up to daughters who have grown up. It’s truly a night for making special memories.”

The event will be held May 20 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Eastern Oregon Trade and Event Center in Hermiston.

Its theme is A Tale as Old as Time, and will include special guest appearances by Belle and The Beast.

Admission is $20 per person, and includes a corsage or boutonniere for each guest, a professional 5×7 portrait taken by 60 Minute Photo for each girl, free use of a photo booth, and refreshments. Door prizes will also be awarded.

Space is limited, however.

“Our committee of volunteer members has been working diligently to create a grand finale,” added Kane. “We hope first-time guests will be impressed. And those who have come for years and years might appreciate some of the ‘trips down memory lane’ that we will provide through the music and displays.”

The Me and My Prince Ball committee has partnered with United Way of the Blue Mountains to organize this year’s dance. For more information about the ball, contact Kane at (541) 720-0853.
