Umatilla-Morrow Head Start and the Hermiston Chamber of Commerce invite the public to a celebration and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Cathy Wamsley Center for Early Learning on Thursday, Aug. 25.
The new center at 160 N.W. Second St. in Hermiston is dedicated to Wamsley for 30 years of supporting children and families across Eastern Oregon.
The event goes from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Popsicles will be served, and there will be activities hosted by different UMHS programs and partners. Donations of favorite children’s books to supply the new classrooms are welcome.
