Richard Lee Price of Hermiston passed away in Hermiston on Nov. 13, 2022 at the age of 87.
He was born on Nov. 18, 1934 in Topeka, Kan. to Paul and Rachel Robbins Price.
Richard moved from Kansas to Gardena, Calif., where he graduated from high school. After high school, he began his career with the United States Air Force. He served in the Air Force as a munitions specialist for 21 years and was active during the Vietnam War. While serving in the Air Force, he was stationed in many places throughout the world. He retired in 1973.
Richard moved to Hermiston after his discharge from the Air Force. He worked as a mechanic for Rohrman Motor Company (Ford garage) in Hermiston for 20 years, retiring in the late 1990s.
Richard enjoyed making model airplanes and cars, woodworking and working on his MG car. He also enjoyed traveling throughout Canada and the Pacific Northwest.
Richard married Peggy Sanders on Nov. 27, 1955 in Irrigon.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Peggy; sons, George R. Price and Edward J. Price; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren; brother, Bill Price; sister, Nancy Allison; and several extended family members.
