The Rocky Heights Elementary School parent-teacher organization will host its biennial spring carnival on Friday, May 10.
The fun goes from 5-8 p.m. on the school grounds. The event will have a bouncy house, dunk tank, carnival-style games, face painting, silent auction items, and food.
Items for auction currently include four passes to Silverwood Theme Park accompanied with a $50 Visa card, an Instant Pot pressure cooker, Beats headphones, a fire pit, a patio set, family pass to the Hermiston Family Aquatic Center, and a Nintendo Switch gaming system. The prizes were donated by generous community members and businesses, who will all be on display at the carnival.
Donations help support and inspire learning opportunities for Rocky Heights’ students. Proceeds from the carnival, paired with PTO support, provide for capital improvements, visiting authors, enrichment assemblies, field trips, and the purchase of additional classroom materials. Each sponsor directly helps to enhance the students’ educational experience.
The event is organized and managed by Rocky Heights staff, parent volunteers, and RHES leadership students. The public is welcome and invited to attend.
