Ronald W. “Ron” Paris of Hermiston, beloved father and caring husband, made his final journey on Sept. 5, 2021 in Richland, Wash. due to pancreatic cancer at the age of 57.
He was born on Oct. 6, 1963 in Enterprise to Richard Leon and Carolyn Mae Paris.
The second born of four, he was raised throughout Eastern Oregon with his siblings, Robin, Ed and Laura. From a young age, Ron had an avid love of the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and taking in the majestic sights Oregon has to offer, whether at the coast or mountainside.
In Hat Rock in 1991, he met the love of his life, wife, and mother of his children, Dora. They settled in Hermiston and raised their two children, Victoria Mae and Ethan Wayne. Ron was a loving father to his children and stepchildren, Juanita and Juanito. Throughout the years, Ron and Dora opened their hearts and homes and “adopted” many other children into their family fold.
Ron had many passions in life – family, fishing, hunting with his dad, wrestling, metal music, and all things John Wayne. The only thing that rivaled his loyalty and love for his family was his love and loyalty for the Dallas Cowboys.
Ron had a quick, caustic wit, favoring sarcasm and humor to make his point. He always knew just what to say to bring a smile or give some much-needed, hard-learned life advice.
He leaves behind his father, Richard Leon; wife of 27 years, Dora; children, Victoria (Tori), Ethan, CJ, Juanito and Juanita; two sisters, Robin Reynolds and Laura (Mike) Peterson; one brother, Edwin Paris; and three grandchildren.
Ron was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Mae Paris.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 1 p.m. at Hat Rock State Park picnic area A, Hermiston. Please wear your Cowboys gear and celebrate the incomparable Ron Paris with family and friends.
