The Pendleton Round-Up & Happy Canyon Hall of Fame and the Round-Up’s Tough Enough To Wear Pink (TETWP) campaign are hosting the Pendleton Whisky After Slack Party on Tuesday, Sept. 14.
This 21 and over event is open to the general public, and is sponsored by Pendleton Whisky.
The event, now in its third year, begins immediately following slack (approximately 3 p.m.) at the Pendleton Round-Up in the Section DD Saloon in the Round-Up Grounds. Entry is free, with all proceeds from drink sales, raffle tickets and donations to be split between the Hall of Fame and TETWP.
The After Slack Party includes live music by popular Northwest country band Sunday Saloon, which is returning to the event for a third time to infuse energy and excitement into the party and get people dancing. The Section DD Saloon will open its gates into the world famous Pendleton Round-Up Arena to allow rodeo contestants easy access to the party following slack.
There will be giveaways courtesy of Pendleton Whisky, and raffle tickets will be on sale for Pendleton Whisky gear, and TETWP’s custom Montana Silversmiths 15th anniversary belt buckle and custom Pendleton Hat Company hat. Drawings for the TETWP buckle and hat will take place Thursday, Sept. 16, during TETWP day at the rodeo.
The Hall of Fame and museum, located at 1114 SW Court Avenue across the street from the Round-Up Grounds, exists to preserve and protect the history, culture and tradition of the Pendleton Round-Up and Happy Canyon night show. TETWP, which celebrates its 15th anniversary this year, raises awareness of breast cancer and funds for local cancer support programs that benefit local breast cancer patients and survivors. The Round-Up celebrates TETWP day on Thursday of Round-Up Week each year.
