SAGE Center Anniversary
The SAGE Center will celebrate its one-year anniversary on May 31 by giving out free Tillamook ice cream.

A job fair focused on agriculture and energy is being held March 5 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the SAGE Center, 101 Olson Road, in Boardman.

The event will give attendees a chance to visit with area food processors, utilities, farms, local government agencies, educational institutions and forest products companies about careers, education and job-seeking help.

The event is the first of its kind at the SAGE Center and is planned to be an annual event.

“It gives people the opportunity to connect with the region’s leading agriculture and energy industries to discover rewarding careers,” said SAGE Center Manager Kalie Davis.

Local high school students and college students have also been invited to the fair to see careers available in their communities and learn what kind of education they need to work in local industries.

Blue Mountain Community College, Walla Walla Community College, Perry Technical Institute, and Eastern Oregon University are also attending to provide information about educational opportunities. Resume writing and interview help will be available for job-seekers from the Oregon Employment Department.

For more information visit the SAGE Center website or call (541) 481-7243.
