The SAGE Center in Boardman is inviting the public to their 10th anniversary celebration beginning today and continuing through Saturday.
Since officially opening its doors to the public in May 2013, the interactive museum and visitor center has welcomed hundreds of thousands of visitors, travelers and students to share the story of Morrow County with them and provide education about sustainable agriculture and energy.
The week-long festivities will be going on during the SAGE Center’s regular hours, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be 10 percent discounts on store sales, admission prizes and raffle submissions every day.
On Friday, Lamb Weston’s Fry Truck will have free French fries for visitors from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. Then there’s a free showing of Night at the Museum in the theater at 6 p.m. The movie is open to the public and includes free water and popcorn.
SAGE Saturday will offer family craft activities and all-day interactive sensory stations for kids to enjoy. There will be free face painting by Vivid Imaginations Professional Face Painting from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Tillamook County Creamery Association Cheese Day event will be back with cheese giveaways and a free enchilada lunch, catered by Village Restaurant. It’s open to the public from 12 to 2 p.m. WE Ice will also be providing shaved ice treats outdoors.
