The Umatilla County Fair moves to the Eastern Oregon Trade & Event Center (EOTEC) for its five-day run this year, but not before the annual parade officially kicks off fair week.

The parade, which will be held along the same route in Hermiston, takes place at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5. The fair gets under way Aug. 8-12 at EOTEC.

Parade entries will line up at Hermiston High School before heading west down Highland Avenue, turning onto Seventh Street, before continuing down Hermiston Avenue where it will cross Highway 395 onto Gladys Avenue. It will then turn down N.E. Third Street, then onto Main Street where it will again cross Highway 395 before concluding near McKenzie Park.

This year’s fair theme is New Faces, New Places & Old Friends. Headline entertainers for this year’s fair include the country duo LoCash on Tuesday night, Tracy Lawrence on Wednesday night, The Marshall Tucker Band on Thursday night, Latino Night on Friday, and Great White on Saturday night.
