The Hermiston School District has announced that Hermiston fifth graders will begin their trips to Outdoor School starting Monday, Sept. 18.
West Park Elementary will be the first to go to Outdoor School from Sept. 18-20. Desert View Elementary is scheduled to go from Sept. 20-22, followed by Highland Hills Elementary from Sept. 25-27. Loma Vista Elementary will go from Sept. 27-29. Lastly, Rocky Heights Elementary is scheduled for Oct. 2-4 with Sunset Elementary ending this year’s Outdoor School trips on Oct. 4-6.
The school district is still in need of adult chaperones to volunteer. Chaperones will help supervise students at night. Those interested in chaperoning will need to complete a background check at the Hermiston School District office, 305 S.W. 11th St.
