Hermiston High School seniors will graduate this evening and the event will be livestreamed for the public to view.
The event begins at 5:45 p.m. with the singing of the National Anthem, followed by student speeches. The commencement ceremony will start at 6:10 p.m., and students will cross the stage in alphabetical order to receive their diploma.
Seniors are expected to turn their tassels before 9 p.m.
Students and select guests will be allowed in the area in small groups. Each student will have a specific number. To watch a specific student be awarded their diploma, please reference the student’s number to the following anticipated timeline during the commencement ceremony:
- 1-33 – 6:10 p.m.
- 34-70 – 6:25 p.m.
- 71-92 – 6:40 p.m.
- 93-126 – 6:55 p.m.
- 127-163 – 7:10 p.m.
- 164-208 – 7:25 p.m.
- 209-234 – 7:40 p.m.
- 235-265 – 7:55 p.m.
- 266-304 – 8:10 p.m.
- 305-342 – 8:25 p.m.
The event will be live-streamed through the Hermiston School District’s YouTube channel.
The National Anthem will be performed by the HHS Chamber Choir and choir teacher Jordan Bemrose-Rust. The Welcome will be given by Zack Tovey and Nazly Chavez Moncada, followed by the announcement of honors by Principal Tom Spoo.
The Class History will be delivered by Jazmin Macias and the Prophecy by Logan Howard. Following comments by Superintendent Dr. Tricia Mooney, Ben Dagley will give the diploma presentation and the Farewell will be given by Gregory Anderson.
