Hermiston School District announced that it will upgrade its internet connection next Monday in order to provide the district with the capacity of up to 10 gigabit per second speeds.
The improved connection will provide improved student, staff, and community connectivity. The district’s current capacity is estimated to be 0.4 gigabits per second.
The process will begin at 6 p.m. on Monday, July 6. The public should expect limited access to district websites for about 24-36 hours once work begins. All site functionality should return to normal no later than 6 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8.
District employees connecting remotely will experience limited access as well.
