Screen-Free Week Activities Set for Hermiston’s First Thursday Event

The Hermiston Chamber of Commerce is inviting everyone to come downtown this Thursday, May 2 between 4:30 and 7 p.m. for the Hermiston Downtown District First Thursday event.

Participating merchants will offer refreshments and discounts, and there will be a bonus drawing.

At the same time, Oregon State University Extension, Umatilla County and Hermiston Festival Street will be hosting a Screen-Free Week event on Festival Street. Residents are urged to ditch the electronics and engage with the community in activities including spin art, floral art, Food Hero tastings, helmet fittings, preschool play time, books, prize drawings and much more.
