Barbara Claudine “Barbie” Abercrombie, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away in a tragic wreck on June 16, 2024 at the age of 56.
Born on June 26, 1967 in Tacoma, Wash., Barbie was a long-time resident of Irrigon, where she touched the lives of many with her vibrant spirit and unwavering love for her family.
Barbie had a zest for life and found joy in the simplest of pleasures. She cherished her time spent riding in the side-by-side with her sister Debbie and her mom in Idaho, creating unforgettable memories. As a Nana to her beloved grandchildren, Lilah Rose, Magnolia Grace, and Greyson Reece, Barbie’s love knew no bounds. She delighted in their presence and showered them with affection.
One of Barbie’s greatest passions was hosting barbeques with her family. Whether it was a summer gathering or a spontaneous get-together, she brought everyone together with her warm hospitality and delicious food. Barbie’s love for her people was evident in every gathering, as she created a sense of togetherness and cherished moments that will be treasured forever.
A celebration of life gathering will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Stokes Landing Senior Center, Irrigon.
A private family burial will be at the Desert Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Irrigon.
