Charles K. “Chuckie Cheeze” Neumann of Irrigon passed away on Jan. 5, 2018 in Hermiston at the age of 67.
He was born on Oct. 4, 1950 in Grand Rapids, Minn. to Elmer and Virginia Eckerett Neumann.
Chuck was raised and attended school in Grand Rapids. He moved to Oregon in 1980, where he had lived since. He was united in marriage to Linda Richards on July 18, 1998 in Irrigon. He worked at Brown’s Truck Stop, Greg’s Tavern, Sherrell Chevrolet, Napa Auto Parts in Umatilla and Boardman, and then at the Walmart Distribution Center until he retired in 2014.
Chuck enjoyed stock car racing, playing cribbage and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He served on the Irrigon City Council and as the mayor of Irrigon. He was a member of the Hermiston Tavern Pool League for over 25 years.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Neumann, Irrigon; daughter, Kaycee Donley (Scott), Richland, Wash.; grandson, Tillian; half-sister, Lila McKenzie, Mesa, Ariz.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
A celebration of life service will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 26, 2018 at A.C. Houghton Elementary School gymnasium, Irrigon.
