She was born on Nov. 10, 1927 in Keating. Carol was raised and attended school in Stanfield. She married Ira S. Packard on June 16, 1946 in Reno, Nev. They moved to Portland and Carol worked in a textile mill for 25 years. In 1985, they moved to Echo where she has lived since. Carol was a member of the Echo Community Church. She enjoyed sewing, playing cards, playing board games, and the outdoors.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Dowell, Arizona, Carol Ann LaFetra, New Jersey, and Donna Stark, Portland; sons, Greg and Craig Glasson, both of Portland; sister, Charlotte Morehouse, Washington; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren with one on the way, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a daughter, Sandra Zacharias; 4 sisters, June, Joyce, Sally, and Marjorie.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Burns Mortuary Chapel in Hermiston.
Burial will follow at the Echo Cemetery in, Echo.
