Emmett “Buster” Lee Cawley, of Hermiston died on June 10, 2015 in Hermiston at the age of 90.
He was born on Oct. 7, 1924 in Elk City, Okla., to Fred and Irene Friend Cawley. Emmett was raised in Woodward, Okla. He moved to Oregon at the age of 16 years. Emmett was a member of the Oregon National Guard and served in Korea during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a ranch hand on several area ranches over the years. Emmett was a former member of the American Legion. He enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, playing dominos, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his son, Robert Cawley & wife Brenda of Gilbert, Ariz.; grandchildren, Rachel and Krystal; great-grandchildren, Sydney, Terryn, Liam, and Sophia.
Emmett was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude Cawley; daughter, Linda Williams; and his parents.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, June 15, 2015 at 10a.m. at the Hermiston Cemetery.
