Services Set for Hermiston’s Carol Treadwell

Carol LaRee Treadwell of Hermiston passed away on March 5, 2017 in Richland, Wash., at the age of 55.

She was born on May 10, 1961 in Kennewick, Wash., to Gordon and LaRee Hendricks Treadwell.

Carol was raised and attended schools in Kennewick, Wash., until midway through her junior year when her family moved to Hermiston. She graduated from Hermiston High School in the class of 1979. Carol then attended Ricks College and earned an associate degree in accounting, and later a bachelor degree in education at Washington State University. She worked with mentally and physically disabled adults in Portland for 10 years before returning to college. Carol earned her RN certificate of nursing at Columbia Basin Community College and loved caring for her patients, especially children. She lived in Prosser, Wash., and worked in Sunnyside for several years before returning to Hermiston where she has lived since. Carol was very outgoing and loving. She would go out of her way to help anyone and when she made friends, they were friends for life. Carol enjoyed people, crafts, and serving others. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is survived by her parents: Gordon and LaRee Treadwell, Hermiston, OR; sister: Janet Miller & her husband John, Springfield, MO; precious niece: Megan Miller; 3 aunts, 1 uncle, numerous cousins and very good friends.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 850 SW 11th St., Hermiston.

Burial will follow at the Hermiston Cemetery.
