Vickie P. Meade of Hermiston died on Sept. 5, 2016 in Albany at the age of 65.
She was born on Nov. 5, 1950 in Decatur, Ill., to George and Evelyn Pauline Casner Hott. Vickie attended schools in Middletown, California. She has lived in Hermiston, Oregon for over 40 years where she had a successful career in recreational vehicle sales, including creating and running her own company, Northwest Motor Homes. Vickie was a member of the Hermiston Church of the Nazarene and was an active volunteer with Vange John Memorial Hospice, where she had served as the bereavement director. She also rescued and spayed many animals and loved her bird, Mikey. Vickie enjoyed reading crime novels, shopping, and helping others.
She is survived by her grandson: Cody L.D. Bonney, Westminster, CO; granddaughter: Lindsay V. Bonney, Olympia, WA; brothers: Lynn Hott & his wife Janice, Salem, OR; Steve Hott & his wife Barbara, Hermiston, OR; stepchildren: Betty Hiatt, Janet Bonney, & Ken Bonney, all of Hermiston, Oregon.
Vickie was preceded in death by her husband: Ronnie Ray Meade, her son: George Bonney, and her parents.
A celebration of life gathering will be held on Oct. 8, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene Ministry Center, 1520 W. Orchard Ave., in Hermiston. Please wear bright clothing and come prepared to eat sugar cookies and to share inspirational and uplifting memories of how Vickie touch your life.
