Liana Kay Kalb of Hermiston died on Oct. 26, 2016 in Hermiston at the age of 70.
She was born on Aug. 1, 1946 in Duluth, Minn., to Ralph and Margarite Stevens Clapper.
She lived in Minnesota until the age of 13 when she moved to California. Kay was united in marriage to Billy Kalb on February 8, 1963 in Verdi, Nev. They lived in Salem, Oregon and California before settling in Hermiston in 1974. Kay was a postal carrier for the United States Post Office in Hermiston for several years before retiring in 2006. She enjoyed crocheting and trips to Nevada, especially to Lake Tahoe.
She is survived by her husband: Bill Kalb, Hermiston, OR; son: Martin Kalb & his wife Kiya, Hermiston, OR; daughters: Cheryl Kalb-Beale and her husband Steve, Pomeroy, WA, and Cathy Welch, NE; sister: Linda Sloan, VA; grandchildren: Khloe, Billie Joe, Samantha, Kyle, Kris, & Kourtney; great grandchildren: Aubrey & Phoenix.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Burns Mortuary Chapel in Hermiston.
