Mary D. Trevino Bañuelos died on July 22, 2017 in Hermiston at the age of 70.
She was born on Dec. 18, 1946 in Sunnyside, Wash. to Vicente Trevino Jr. and Dora Tovar Trevino.
She was raised in the Yakima Valley and married Liño Bañuelos in 1974 in Wapato, Wash. They moved to Hermiston in 1982, and Mary went to work for J.R. Simplot as a wet line operator. The family later moved to Stanfield and have lived in the area since. Mary worked at J.R. Simplot until 1993.
She was a member of Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church. She was a hard worker and cherished spending time with her family, baking, cooking and taking trips to see her family.
She is survived by her children, Ted Longoria (Virginia), Todd Anthony Gallegos, and Maria D. Bañuelos, all of Hermiston; sisters, San Juana Bañuelos, Stanfield, Cruz Cavazos, Grandview, Wash., and Maria “Coyo” Gonzalez, Wapato, Wash.; brothers, Bernardo Trevino, Yakima, Wash., Francisco Trevino, Coachella, Calif., and Vicente Trevino III, Hermiston; grandchildren, Anthony, Annabelle, Kasondra and Sheila; great grandchildren, Broxson, Emmilyse, Mason and Remington; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and siblings, Roberto Trevino, Raul Trevino, Delia Trevino and Guadalupe Tovar.
Recitation of the rosary will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 6 p.m. at Burns Mortuary Chapel in Hermiston.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Hermiston.
Burial will follow at the Hermiston Cemetery.
