Services Set for Maxine Malone of Stanfield

Maxine Louise Malone, of Stanfield, died on Feb. 24, 2015 in Hermiston at the age of 76.

She was born on Jan. 4, 1939 in Syracuse, Kan., to Glen and Hazel Von Hemel Wilkerson. She was raised and attended schools in Kansas. Maxine was united in marriage to Clyde Robert “C.R.” Malone on May 17, 1958 in Ulysses, Kan. They lived in Kansas, New Mexico, and Colorado before settling in Stanfield in 1983 where they have lived since. Maxine and C.R. were sealed in the Portland Temple on May 17, 1990. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she had been active in Relief Society and teaching Sunday school. Maxine enjoyed crossword and word search puzzles, as well as seeing family pictures that were posted on Facebook.

She is survived by her husband, C.R. Malone, Stanfield; son, Clifford Malone (Cindy Olsen), Cortez, Colo.; daughters, Mona Harrison (Jesse D.) Cortez, Colo., Glenda Malone Hack, Stanfield; brother, Gary Wilkerson, Derby, Kan.; sister-in-law, Nancy Wilkerson, Garden City, Kan.; brother-in-laws, Orda Malone (Maureen), Pioneer, Calif., and Jim Malone (Jeanne), Boise, Idaho; close aunt, Velda Creamer, Johnson, Kan.; grandchildren, Angela Graves (Harold), Jesse Harrison Jr., Robert Harrison (Hailee), Crystal Hercules (Mic), Katie Hack, & Kelsey Hack; great-grandchildren, Adrina, Katlyn, Corwin, Johnny, Devin, Brittany, Damon, Daniel, & Jake.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; her in-laws, Mona and Clyde Malone; and a brother, Darrell Wilkerson.

A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1035 SE 9th St., Hermiston.
