Shannon D. Lee of Irrigon died on Dec. 22, 2022 in Boardman at the age of 56.
He was born on May 17, 1966 in Paragould, Ark. to David and Lillian Lee.
Shannon was raised and attended schools in Arkansas. He left Arkansas at the age of 22 and settled in Irrigon in 1989. Shannon worked at the Umatilla Army Depot before going to work for Threemile Canyon Farms, where he worked until his passing.
He enjoyed scuba diving, metal detecting, gold panning, rock hounding, fishing and time at the Columbia River.
He is survived by his sisters, Charlotte Shelton (Mark) and Shawn Lee, both of Arkansas; niece, Amanda Hackney (James); nephew, Kylar Lee; three great nieces; one great nephew; and many friends.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Burns Mortuary Chapel, Hermiston.
