Alonso Madrigal Garcilazo, of Umatilla, died on March 4, 2015 in Hermiston at the age of 23.
He was born on Nov. 8, 1991 in Michoacan, Mexico to Gabino Madrigal and Marivel Garcilazo. Alonso was raised and attended school in Umatilla. While growing up he enjoyed playing baseball, soccer, track and karate. Alonso graduated from Umatilla High School in 2009. He has worked for ConAgra (Watts Brothers) for the last two years. Alonso enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, he was a car enthusiast, cruising, and most of all time with his sons and family.
He is survived by his parents, Gabino and Marivel Madrigal, Umatilla; his sons, Andre Alonzo Madrigal and Adriel Madrigal, Portland; grandparents, Maria Eleazar Coria, Moises Garcilazo and Natalia Jimenez, all of Mexico; sisters, Nancy Coria (Gildardo) and Alondra Coria (Gilibaldo) of Umatilla; brothers, Orlando Madrigal and Cristian Madrigal, Umatilla; nieces and nephews, Jahir, Amarie, Elijah, Deedra, Orlando Jr., Aylanih, and Naiya; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Alonso was preceded in death by a grandfather, Florencio Madrigal.
Rosary will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 9:30 A.Ma.m with mass to follow at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Hermiston.
Burial will follow at the Hermiston Cemetery.
