Lillie A. Caldwell Harmon died on June 3, 2014 at her home in Hermiston at the age of 97.
She was born on Oct. 6, 1916 in Albion, Idaho to parents, Andrew “AJ” and Louise Alcanter Pulley. Lillie was raised and attended school in Emmett, Idaho. She moved to Hermiston in 1943. Lillie married Maurice “Buster” Caldwell on March 16, 1946 in Weiser, Idaho. She worked as a inventory supervisor at the Umatilla Army Depot until retiring in 1978. Buster preceded her in death in 1973. Lillie married Jerry Harmon on December 15, 1978 in Walla Walla, Wash. Jerry preceded her in death in 1997. Lillie was a longtime member of the Hermiston Eagles Lodge #2909. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, camping, gardening, and her yard. Lillie loved Christmas and would decorate her home and her yard for everyone to enjoy.
She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and nephews.
Lillie was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; brothers: Tom, Jimmy, Carlos, and George Pulley; sisters: Opal Geer, Goldie Suter, Beulah Browning, Violet Pulley, and Ellen Proctor.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Burns Mortuary Chapel in Hermiston.
Burial will follow at the Hermiston Cemetery.
