Seth Alan Doughty of Irrigon died on Dec. 29, 2018 as the result of an automobile accident in Stanfield at the age of 23.
He was born on Nov. 17, 1995 in Hermiston to Wayne and Kathy VanGorder Doughty.
Seth was raised and attended schools in Umatilla, where he participated in baseball and football. He graduated from Umatilla High School in the class of 2015. He worked for Shearers for a time and at 3d Idapro in Stanfield for the last two years, and had recently been promoted to mechanic. He loved hunting upland and waterfowl birds, elk and deer, fishing, camping, sports, racing, riding dirt bikes, ATVs, snowboarding and listening to music.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, Jan. 4, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Burns Mortuary Chapel, Hermiston.
Burial will follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Irrigon.
