Shari Kay Schneider Alford of Hermiston passed away on Sept. 2, 2017 at home in Hermiston at the age of 44.
She was born on Nov. 16, 1972 in Hermiston to Dennis and Shari L. Moyer Schneider.
Shari was raised and attended schools in Hermiston, graduating in the class of 1991. She then attended Blue Mountain Community College, where she earned her degree as a dental assistant. She attended Anchor Point Church and was a past Honor Queen in Job’s Daughters. She enjoyed the mountains, camping, playing electronic games, staying in touch with everyone through her computer, trips to the ocean, and most of all, cherished time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Wyatt Alford, Ukiah; father, Dennis Schneider, Umatilla; sister, Amy Allstott (Mark), Kennewick, Wash.; brother, Stacey Schneider (Amy), Kennewick, Wash.; grandmother, Julia Schneider, Hermiston; nephews, Josh, Brandon, Spencer and Cole; niece, Leia; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Shari L. Schneider and grandparents, Raymond Schneider and Maxine and Clyde Moyer.
A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, Sept. 11, 2017 at 4 p.m. at Burns Mortuary Chapel, Hermiston.
Burial will follow at the Hermiston Cemetery.
