Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office deputies found and arrested an Irrigon man who was alleged to have threatened another person with an AR15 on Sunday.
Dylan Jonathan Christensen was located Monday evening at a residence on Progress Road in Hermiston. After an investigation, he was taken into custody and lodged at the Umatilla County Jail on multiple charges including menacing, second-degree disorderly conduct, pointing a firearm at another, and attempted unlawful use of a weapon.
Law enforcement began looking for Christensen around 6:45 p.m. on Sunday after receiving a report of a suicidal man who was armed in the area of 32293 West Progress Road in Hermiston. Christensen, 27, allegedly pointed at black AR15 rifle at another person and also discharged the rifle into a field. UCSO deputies set up a perimeter to attempt to locate Christensen with the assistance of Oregon State Police, U.S. Fish & Wildlife, Umatilla Police Department, Stanfield Umatilla Police Department and UCSO Drone Team.
After having no luck finding Christensen on Sunday, the search concluded on Monday with Christensen’s apprehension and arrest.
