Sheriff’s Office Investigating Stabbing

The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a stabbing that occurred on Tuesday south of Pilot Rock.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies were called around 4:30 p.m. to Hill Road where an assault had been reported.

Upon arrival, the deputies found an adult male with a knife wound. He was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in Walla Walla by Life Flight. He was in stable condition and expected to be released on Wednesday.

Cassandra Darlene Ross, 30, from Pendleton, was arrested at the scene on unrelated warrants.

The sheriff’s office said all people involved were known to each other, and there is no danger to the public. The investigation is on-going.
