Sheryl Tomlinson of Hermiston Passes Away at 69

Sheryl Beth Tomlinson of Hermiston died on Aug. 23, 2017 in Spokane, Wash. at the age of 69.

She was born on Sept. 16, 1947 in Tillamook to William Frank Tomlinson and Thelma Blanche Balmer Tomlinson.

She spent most of her young life at Shriner’s Hospital in Portland. She lived with her parents in Garibaldi until 1982 after her dad died. She and her mom moved to Hermiston to live with her brother Steve, where she had lived since.

Sheryl was a member of the Hermiston Seventh Day Adventist Church. She enjoyed needlework, her computer, collecting elephants, traveling, and playing cards and board games, and she was an avid Mariners fan.

She is survived by her brothers, Richard Tomlinson, Las Vegas, Nev. and Steven Tomlinson, Hermiston; sisters, Geraldine Ruth, Echo, Elizabeth “Betty” Tomlinson, Garibaldi, and twin Sharon Struck, Ketchikan, Alaska; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents; brother, Alton Tomlinson; brother-in-law, Ronald Ruth; sister-in-law, Carmen Tomlinson; nephews, Jerry Ruth and Ricky Tomlinson; and nieces, Ronda Ruth, Stephanie Tomlinson and Katie Ruth.

Services are pending.
