Shirley Ann Hamilton of Hermiston passed away in Hermiston on Jan. 30, 2023 at the age of 82.
She was born on Feb. 7, 1940 in Stayton to Ira and Alma Nendel Kirsch.
Shirley married J. Dean Hamilton in Hermiston on March 8, 1967.
Shirley worked as a secretary for the Hermiston Medical Center (currently Family Health Associates) from the mid-1970s until the late 1980s. She later worked as a secretary for Simplot for several years.
Shirley was a force to be reckoned with. She was loud and you never had to guess where you stood with her. She was fiercely protective of her family, friends and especially her grandkids. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, gardening and tending to her plants. Spending time with her family and friends was a very important part of her life.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, J. Dean; two daughters, Makayla (Gary) Humphreys and Katrina (Vince) Stone; grandchildren, Kayle Wilson, Tanner Wilson, Alyssa Wilson and Justin Stone; and great grandchildren, Korvin, Aubriana, Lillian, Lucas, Kasen, Emmalynn and Laynee.
