Three student-athletes from the Blue Mountain Community College men’s soccer team and three from the women’s soccer team have been named to the Northwest Athletic Conference’s (NWAC) All-Region Team for the East Region.
The All-Region team is comprised players who were not selected to the NWAC All-Star teams, but were nominated by their coaches for contributions made during the season, both on and off the field.
Luis Romero, Dalton Muazay and Jacob Duncan were named to the men’s All-Region team, while Tinacia Christensen, Olivia Castellanos and Makayla McCabe were named to the women’s team.
“We’re proud of these six Timberwolves for their dedication and contributions during the season on the field and in the classroom,” said Dawn DiFuria McClendon, BMCC’s Director of Athletics, Outreach & Student Life. “It takes a strong commitment to be a college student and an athlete, and these individuals put in the hard work to be successful.”
Romero is a freshman midfielder from Reno, Nev.; Muazay is a sophomore goalkeeper from Cheney, Wash.; Duncan is a freshman defender from Middleton, Idaho; Christensen is a freshman midfielder from Inkom, Idaho; Castellanos is a freshman midfielder from Irrigon; and McCabe is a freshman defender from Clarkston, Idaho.
