Small Earthquake Reported Near Pendelton

A 3.6-magnitude earthquake struck early Friday in a rural area just northeast of Pendleton.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, about a dozen people reported feeling the quake around 5:47 a.m. There were no reports of damage.

On Wednesday night and Thursday morning, a series of eight quakes struck just south of the Oregon-Nevada border. That location remained mostly quiet the rest of Thursday and into Friday.
