Snow Expected to Fall Later this Week

Enjoy the sunshine while it lasts because Mother Nature is expected to hurl some snow our way toward the end of the week.

With temperatures plunging below freezing and precipitation on the horizon, the National Weather Service is forecasting snow beginning Thursday and continuing Saturday.

The forecast calls for sunshine through Wednesday, but the high temperatures are expected to stay below 40 degrees. The overnight low tonight is expected to dip down to 13 degrees.

As much as a couple of inches of snow is forecast for the Hermiston area on Thursday with more snow likely on Friday before 10 a.m. Snow could fall on Saturday before things dry up a bit by Sunday. The weather service is predicting a high temperature of 29 degrees beginning Thursday and lasting through Saturday.
