The Southridge Suns kept the Hermiston Bulldogs winless on the season with a 27-14 victory at Kennison Field on Friday.

Hermiston went into the locker room at halftime trailing 13-7, but scored in the third quarter to go up 14-13. Two fourth-quarter touchdowns by Southridge sealed the win for the Suns.

The Bulldogs had trouble gaining yards on the ground, so Hermiston quarterback Chase Elliott took to the air most of the night. The senior connected on 24 of 39 passes for 215 yards to go with one touchdown pass and an interception. Hermiston was able to gain just 49 yards rushing yards on the night.

Seniors Vincent Trevino and Caden Hottman led the Bulldogs with five receptions each.

Hermiston (0-6) will travel to Kennwick on Friday to take on the 5-1 Lions.
