Hermiston City Councilor Phillip Spicerkuhn will be on the ballot in a special election race that will determine who will fill out the remainder of the Ward IV seat’s term.
No one has yet filed to run against Spicerkuhn.
Spikerkuhn was appointed to the seat in November after Ward IV Councilor Doug Smith resigned.
The special election takes place March 9. The city’s drop-off box for ballots has moved from city hall to the Stafford Hansell Government Center, 915 S.E. Columbia Drive in Hermiston.
