State Police Searching for Vehicle Involved in Death of Pedestrian

The Oregon State Police is asking the public to help identify the driver of a car involved in a fatal accident on Sunday.

According to the OSP, a pedestrian, Alicia Bernhardt, 20, of Walla Walla, was struck by a northbound vehicle on Highway 11 near milepost 31 around 3:30 a.m. Bernhardt sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect vehicle is believed to be a 2002-03 blue Honda Accord, which fled the scene before emergency personnel arrived.

The Accord should have sustained damage to the passenger side front corner and is now missing the passenger side mirror.
