State Rep. Smith Attends Department of Revenue’s Job Fair in Fossil

Oregon State Rep. Greg Smith (R-Heppner) attended a job fair on Thursday put on by the Oregon Department of Revenue (DOR) at the Isobel Edwards Hall in Fossil.

The event was spearheaded by Smith and he opened the event with a brief speech. DOR Director Betsy Imholt lead the event, highlighting the agency’s remote work options. Additional DOR staff helped attendees in one-on-one consultations with the State of Oregon’s employment software ‘WorkDay’.

“I appreciate the Department of Revenue’s dedication to providing equal opportunity hiring opportunities. This event was a success and is a model for rural hiring,” said Smith.

Smith is currently serving his 11th term as an Oregon State representative, making him the longest serving member in the House of Representatives.
