Suzanne “Suzie” Rankin Furrer passed away peacefully on Nov. 7, 2020 at her home in Oregon City at the age of 74.
She was born on April 17, 1946 in Culver City, Calif. to Stuart and Veda Rankin.
Suzie grew up in Hermiston, graduating from Hermiston High School in the class of 1964. She then attended Blue Mountain Community College. Suzie married her high school sweetheart, Dick Furrer on Oct. 16, 1965. They raised three children, Rich, Wendy and Ryan, in Oregon City.
Suzie was a homemaker and worked various jobs. She retired as a housekeeper at the Portland LDS Temple after 20 years.
Suzie is survived by her children, Rich Furrer, Oregon City, Wendy Shill, Oregon City and Ryan Furrer, Vancouver, Wash.; 12 grandchildren; one great grandchild; sisters, Carole Lind and Abbie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A private family burial will be held at the Hermiston Cemetery.
