Tamástslikt Cultural Institute’s outdoor living culture village will examine the importance of horses in Native American culture on Saturday.

Visitors to Naami Nishaycht village will learn from a local horse expert about the role horses began to play in Native American’s culture and economy 300 years ago.

The village, which includes replicas of traditional and prehistoric structures of Plateau Indian people, is open each Saturday through Aug. 30 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
