Tamástslikt Cultural Institute’s outdoor living culture village will take a look at native plants through the eyes of an early explorer to the region on Saturday, July 12.
Visitors to Naami Nishaycht village will hear the tale of explorer David Douglas who came to the Pacific Northwest in the 1820s and learn about the plants and herbs he found in the area.
The village, which includes replicas of traditional and prehistoric structures of Plateau Indian people, is open each Saturday through Aug. 30 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
