Taking Alcatraz is an account of the events that led up to the 1969 Native American occupation of Alcatraz Island as told by the principal organizer, Adam Fortunate Eagle.
Alcatraz is Not an Island is the story of how this historic event altered U.S. government Indian policy and programs, and how it forever changed the way Native Americans viewed themselves, their culture and their sovereign rights.
Pepsi Primetime @ the Museum is free and open to the public. Complimentary refreshments will be served.
