Tammy Crystene Dickerson died on Dec. 5, 2015 at her home in Pendleton at the age of 54.

She was born on Sept. 5, 1961 in Delta, Colo., to Frank and Doris Tefft Pettey. She was raised and attended schools in Hermiston. Tammy was united in marriage to William “Bill” Dickerson on September 25, 1981 in Kennewick, Wash. They moved to Pendleton shortly thereafter where they have lived since. Tammy was a full-time stay-at-home mom until her daughter Brandi was raised. She then worked as the weigh master for Blue Mountain Lumber for several years, at Krusteaz, and most recently at Kenworth as the office manager. She enjoyed crafts, yard sales, and was an animal lover. Tammy cherished her granddaughters and spending time with her family and friends. She was active in Relay for Life for several years.

She is survived by her husband: Bill Dickerson, Pendleton, OR; daughter: Brandi Hendrickson & husband Clayt, Pendleton, OR; Jerrod Dickerson, who she helped raise and thought of as a son; mother: Doris Pettey, Hermiston, OR; brother: Kevin Pettey & his wife Debbie, Hermiston, OR; sisters: Cindy Pettey, Athena, OR, and Cathy Zinter & husband Dave, Hermiston, OR; 2 granddaughters: Abigail & Olivia; several nieces and nephews.
Tammy was preceded in death by her father.

A private family celebration of life gathering will be held.
