Tara Leigh Hickey was found deceased on April 2, 2023 at the age of 46.
She was born on Jan. 24, 1977 in Pendleton to R. Grady and Judith Hickey.
Tara struggled with mental illness and addiction for most of her life. She had a few years of better health in St. Helens until recently, when family lost contact with her. We are consoled by the knowledge that she has been released from a long and continuous fight “to be.” She is now free from her world of brokenness and is at peace.
She is survived by her mother, Judith Hickey, Ritzville, Wash.; brothers, Derald Hickey, Pendleton and Marc (Karen) Hickey, Ritzville, Wash.; sister, Carla (Eric) Smith, Pendleton; birth sons, Ethan Dahlberg, Elgin and Jack Martinelli Jr., Calif.; fiancee, Adam Sailer of St. Helens; and numerous extended family members.
Tara was preceded in death by her father, R. Grady Hickey.
No formal services are planned at this time.
