Agri-tourism activities have sprouted in recent years at the Taylor Pumpkin Patch, 79115 Root Lane, Boardman.

Activities include a corn maze, a pair of corn pits, apple slingshots, a pumpkin cannon, a hay bale maze and pyramid, a haunted house and zip line. Also, hay rides are available Friday through Sunday. In addition, people can select the perfect pumpkin from more than 100 varieties.

Hours are Wednesday and Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to dusk; and Friday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Entry is $5 per person; children under 3 are free. There is an additional fee for the zip line and fire pit rentals.

Special event nights run from 6-9 p.m., including Wine Night on Oct. 19, the Haunted Maze on Oct. 25-26 and Bro’s, Brats, Brews on Oct. 26.

The pumpkin patch began several years ago when the three-generation family farm added an agri-tourism element. For more information, visit www.taylorpumpkinpatch.com or search social media. For
