An 18-year-old was shot and killed in the early-morning hours of Saturday in Milton-Freewater.
The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a report shortly after midnight of shots fired in the 84000 block of Yellow Jacket Road.
Prior to law enforcement arriving, the victim, who was from Milton-Freewater, had been taken from the scene of the shooting in a private vehicle to Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla where he died shortly after from gunshot wounds.
According to the UCSO, the initial investigation indicates the victim was involved in a confrontation at the residence with another male, which led to the shooting.
