Bringing the unforgettable songs of Motown live and in concert to Hermiston is “A Temptations Revue” featuring former lead singer of the Temptations and Grammy Award winner Barrington “Bo” Henderson.
The show, presented by the Desert Arts Council, will take place on Feb. 12 at the Hermiston High School auditorium.
Henderson, who was with the Temptations from 1998-2003, is one of the only Temptations lead singers to have received a Grammy. This dynamic and driving show spans more than a decade of Temptations classics and every one of these songs among the most recognizable and culture-defining songs in pop music history: “My Girl,” “Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone,” “Get Ready,” “Ain’t Too Proud To Beg,” “Just My Imagination,” “I Wish It Would Rain” and more.
The show, according to Desert Arts Council President Phyllis Shovelski, will recreate the great harmonies and choreographed dance steps that made the Temptations famous and features a six-piece band that is a show in itself. The musicianship is second to none, and many of the players have backed up or opened up for many of the original Motown artists, including other former members of the Temptations.
Henderson has joined the ranks as one of the only ones to have received a Grammy for the album “Phoenix Rising.” This dynamic and driving show spans more than a decade of Temptations classics, every one of these songs among the most recognizable and culture-defining songs in pop music history. Barrington “Bo” Henderson has sung with groups such as The Dramatics and Lakeside before being recruited into the lead position in the Temptations back in 1998. He toured both domestically and internationally in front of tens of thousands of people including the King and Queen of Denmark.
