Terry L. Heustess, 59, died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014, at his sister’s home in Hermiston from his battle with lung cancer.

Terry will be forever remembered by his son, Connor L. Heustess; his former spouse, Lisa Heustess, of Tacoma, Wash.; his mother, Eunice Jeanne Bohren of Stevensville, Mont.; sister, Bette Jo Denny and husband, David of Hermiston; brothers, James D. Heustess of Stevensville, Mont.,, Thomas L. Heustess and Richard L. Heustess and wife, Judy, all of Tacoma, Wash.; along with countless other family and friends who were blessed to know him. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Heustess.

Terry was born in Butte, Mont., on Feb. 14, 1955 to Ernest Heustess and Eunice Jeanne Heustess. At the age of 9 his family moved to Tacoma, Wash., where Terry resided for almost 50 years. Terry graduated from Stadium High School in 1973. He began working as a caddie at Allenmore Golf Course when he was about 12 years old. He later became a full-time employee as a greenskeeper at Allenmore Golf Course where he worked for 26 years.

Terry was an avid golfer and photographer of nature and wildlife. He loved baseball and football, especially the Seattle Mariners and Seattle Seahawks. He touched the lives of many people and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In keeping with Terry’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. A family memorial will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Vange John Memorial Hospice for their support during Terry’s final days.
