The Tillamook County Creamery Association, producer of Tillamook Cheese, just made two generous donations to schools in the Morrow County School District. Tillamook has a production facility at the Port of Morrow in Boardman.
The company donated more than $11,000 to Riverside Jr/Sr High School for the purchase of carpet tiles for the gym floor. These carpet tiles can be laid over the existing gym floor for events such as graduation. They will help prevent damage to the floor and provide a formal-looking environment for these type of events.
Windy River Elementary School received an $8,000 donation from Tillamook for the purchase of a classroom set of Chromebooks, as well as funds to support the school’s student leadership program.
“Our Boardman schools greatly appreciate the partnership we have with Tillamook and the generous support they provide for our students,” said Brandon Hammond, principal of Windy River Elementary.
